Monkey Bread

Don't let baking make a monkey out of you. This is a simple, good, and easy recipe. Preheat oven to 350°. Cut each biscuit in 4 pieces. Roll each piece in mixture of ½ teaspoon cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar. (Place cinnamon and sugar in large plastic bag and shake pieces in the bag).

3 tubes biscuits

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/3 c. sugar

Nuts (opt.

1 1/2 sticks oleo

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 c. brown sugar

 

Preheat oven to 350°. Cut each biscuit in 4 pieces. Roll each piece in mixture of 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar. (Place cinnamon and sugar in large plastic bag and shake pieces in the bag). Grease bundt or tube pan. If using nuts, place in bottom of pan. Then layer biscuit pieces. Combine margarine, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and brown sugar. Boil 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over biscuits in pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. (If you use a deep pan, the cooking time may be longer). Cool 10 minutes, then turn out on platter for serving.
